Preteen "PlaToon"

Due to the heightened interest in the preteen aged children in serving during our 10:30 AM Service, we have decided to tentatively attempt a leadership team called "PlaToon" for 5th-6th Graders. Ideally, we would like to incorporate this program by the beginning of 2010. Please pray along with us for the success of this team.

YGQHGA Curriculum (Nov. 1-Jan. 17)

Kids are full of questions. I think that's just a fact of life. Sometimes, however, their questions can be deeply rooted in a desire to know God's character and nature. Our current Curriculum entitled, "You've Got Questions, He's Got Answers" addresses exactly that. In the weeks to come we will be asking these questions:

Can God Really Use Me? (Nov. 1)
Do Dreams Ever Come True (Nov. 8)
How Can I Keep From Sinning? (Nov. 15)
Why is this Happening to Me? (Nov. 22)
God, Have You Forgotten Me? (Nov. 29)
Can God Ever Reach ______? (Dec. 13)
Can I Ever Change the Way I Think? (Dec. 27)
Do I Really Have to Forgive Them? (Jan. 3)
Why Do Bad Things Happen to Good People? (Jan. 10)
How Can I Be A Success in Life? (Jan. 17)

All of these Questions will be answered using stories from the life of Joseph. Family Devotions will be available after each week's lesson. Please stop by and pick up a Family Devotion to participate in with your child.

Love is the Main Ingredient...

Great news!!! This year the children of Heir Force will be presenting a full on Christmas Program entitled "Cookin' Up Christmas". Practices have already begun, and will continue on every Sunday Night (6-7PM) until the performance in December. Please come out and get involved with this great opportunity to emphasize Jesus as the reason we celebrate this time of year!
